Briefly Vaasa was it’s own nation under the Witch-King. Through sheer willpower and strength he was able to band together the massive amounts of goblinoids in the region and march them onto Damara along with his other allies. Since the Witch-King was vanquished Vaasa has returned to it’s natural uncivilized state with only a smattering of small secluded villages (or well fortified towns) that eek out an existence in the unforgiving environment. The goblinoids have returned to their mountain homelands and far to the north are the various tribes of hardy barbarian clans of the White Worm.
Vaasa is mostly a giant stretch of wet tundra, frozen in the cold months and a muddy, fly-ridden mess in the brief warm months. Beasts prowl everywhere, unchecked by any civilization but limited by the meager food resources such an inhospitable land can provide. Vaasa, however, does have a silver lining in it’s vast, untapped riches of bloodstones and gems. The only problem is that the goblinoids call the mountains home, the same places where the wealth lays unclaimed.
